To register for E-notices as a Pro Se go to https://alafile.alacourt.gov and click on Register. Once you have completed the registration process as a pro se, please print the form and bring to the Clerks Office during normal business hours along with a state issued photo identification card. Your information will be processed and then you will receive a copy of any electronic orders entered in your case via e-mail.

EXPUNGEMENT INFORMATION

The law in Alabama relating to Expungements have changed, effective July 1, 2021. The forms on this website have been updated to reflect these changes. Please click the Expungement of Records link for access to these forms. Also, the filing fee for expungements has increased from $300 filing fee to a $500 filing fee. 

PASSPORT INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19

The Clerk's Office has resumed accepting applications for Passports with very strict protocols. Due to capacity restrictions to ensure proper social distancing, incomplete/incorrect applications could result in the applicant having to return at a later time. PASSPORT FEE INCREASE

As of December 27, 2021, the fees for a passport book have increased by $20.00.  There is no increase in the fee for a passport card or expedited service. Please refer to the Passports tab to review the changes.
