To register for E-notices as a Pro Se go to https://alafile.alacourt.gov and click on Register. Once you have completed the registration process as a pro se, please print the form and bring to the Clerks Office during normal business hours along with a state issued photo identification card. Your information will be processed and then you will receive a copy of any electronic orders entered in your case via e-mail.

PASSPORT PROCESSING TIME

Effective December 18, 2023, The US Department of State has updated the processing time for routine and expedited passports. Routine processing of a passport application now takes 6-8 weeks and expedited processing (for an additional $60) takes 2-3 weeks. The processing time begins the day the US Department of State receives an application at a passport agency or center, not on the day the customer applied for a passport at an acceptance facility. EXPUNGEMENT INFORMATION

The law in Alabama relating to Expungements have changed, effective July 1, 2021. The forms on this website have been updated to reflect these changes. Please click the Expungement of Records link for access to these forms. Also, the filing fee for expungements has increased from $300 filing fee to a $500 filing fee.
